The Reflection Spread
Coming to the end of the year and the commencement of the next seems a good time to contemplate what we've done and what we aim to do in the coming cycle. To that end I offer you a special end of year spread.
Create some sacred space and there are many ways to do this. You might like to state your intention, sing, tone, light a candle, spray some fragrant oils into the air around your reading area or simply focus on your breath to settle yourself. Once done, shuffle your cards as you think about the year that is nearly done...and when you feel that the time is right, drop the deck into three piles and then choose one pile to work with. Spread your working pile out with the cards face down. Think about the question that is posed for each of the following positions and with that question at the forefront of your mind select the cards one at a time with your left hand.
I suggest that you turn the cards over one at a time and give yourself ample time to reflect on the question and the card that is answering it - allow the card to speak to you and trust what you get, those thoughts, images or feelings that come up. Trust yourself and enjoy the process.

- Where have I been this year?
- What have I achieved or done well?
- What is the blessing this year has given me?
- What new knowledge or understanding of self can I take into the new year to support and strengthen me?
- As the year moves towards a close what could I be focussing on for my highest good?
